Keeping Christ at the Centre
Centre Pointe Church is a Bible-based church. We seek to ground every belief and practice on the clear teaching of Scripture and sound biblical principles. Below is a concise summary of our core convictions. If you’d like the full statement or a personal Bible study, we’d love to connect.
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and our authority for salvation and Christian living (2 Tim. 3:15-17).
There is one God who has revealed Himself as Father, in the Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh—both fully God and fully man (Deut. 6:4; Col. 2:9; 1 Tim. 3:16).
All have sinned and need salvation. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ on the basis of His atoning sacrifice (Rom. 3:23-25; Eph. 2:8-9).
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again (1 Cor. 15:1-4).
We obey the gospel by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection power) (Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:3-4). We teach that speaking in other tongues is the initial sign of the infilling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4).
As followers of Jesus we love God and people, pursue holiness inwardly and outwardly, and worship with joy (Mk. 12:28-31; 2 Cor. 7:1).
The supernatural gifts of the Spirit— including healing—are for the church today (1 Cor. 12:8-10).
Jesus is coming again for His church (1 Thess. 4:16-17).
In the end there will be a final resurrection and judgment: the righteous to eternal life and the unrighteous to eternal death (Rev. 20:11-15).
Establish a Christ-centered culture that glorifies God through the transformed daily lives of believers. Put simply, it is to continually know Him and make Him known.
Our Mission
